SWTHZ West Village

SweatHouz West Village serves the Uptown district of Dallas, in one of the city’s more walkable areas.

West Village sits at Cityplace, built on land that was once the Dallas Power & Light substation district and redeveloped through the 1990s and 2000s into a dense mixed-use quarter. The McKinney Avenue Trolley, running restored streetcars from the 1920s on a heritage line, passes through — a genuine oddity in a city built around the automobile as thoroughly as Dallas was.

Uptown is among the few parts of the metroplex where a resident can plausibly live without a car, which shapes the businesses that succeed there.

The SweatHouz format is private suites holding an infrared sauna, a cold plunge and a rainfall shower, booked by the hour. The whole circuit happens in a room that belongs to you for the session.

In North Texas the cold plunge carries more of the appeal than the heat. Summers run above 100°F for extended stretches, and winters are mild enough that contrast needs equipment rather than a door.

Cityplace has a DART station and garage parking. Sessions book through the chain’s system.
