FIKA Sauna

FIKA Sauna is a beautifully conceived private Finnish sauna retreat at 670 Economou Road in Huntington, Vermont — a sanctuary of warmth and simplicity nestled in the scenic pastoral landscape at the foot of Camel’s Hump, Vermont’s most iconic mountain. Named for the Swedish concept of taking a meaningful pause to reconnect with others and oneself, FIKA embodies that philosophy in every detail of its design and experience.
The centerpiece is a traditional Finnish dry sauna — heated to 160 to 195°F with low humidity — that accommodates up to six guests in a completely private setting. The sauna room’s warm cedar interior and carefully controlled environment create the authentic Scandinavian atmosphere that FIKA’s founders envisioned: heat, simplicity, and deep connection. Surrounding the sauna is a cooling lounge designed with equal care — Douglas Fir beams, Hickory flooring, black shiplap walls, expansive windows overlooking the Vermont countryside, and comfortable seating that invites guests to linger, rest, and restore between heat rounds. A cold plunge and rear porch complete the thermal circuit, while cozy blankets, complimentary Birnn truffles, and Bluetooth speaker access ensure guests can fully personalize their session.
Sessions are priced at one flat rate for up to six guests: $70 for one hour, $100 for 90 minutes, $130 for two hours, and $190 for three hours. Community sessions at $30 per person are available on select Sundays. A mobile wood-fired sauna — Western Red Cedar exterior with standing seam metal roof — is also available for weekly home rental. FIKA is one of the Champlain Valley’s most thoughtfully realized private sauna experiences.
